In My Mailbox #4

I've not been as crazy this week buying books here, there and everywhere but I have done quite well. Kindle freebies on amazon are just too hard to pass up and some of them sound amazing so I can't help but press the buy button! I'm looking forward to showing you all what I've bought and received this week and seeing what you think :) Hosted by The Story Siren, I love this weekly meme and think its a great way of sharing all our books with each other so please join in and leave comments below; I'd love to know what you've bought, borrowed and received this week! :)

Bought:
 Switched - Amanda Hocking (Goodreads)
Oppression - Jessica Therrien (Goodreads)

I didn't buy any paperbacks this week as I'm still in love with my kindle and because I haven't wandered into town this week...but I am this week to buy some stuff for Mother's Day so I'm sure my feet will take me into a few bookstores (and I really shouldn't, I have no funds whatsoever!) These books were absolute bargains on amazon and they sounded sooo good so I thought I'd buy them and hopefully read them asap. Switched sounded different to other books in its genre and at 20p I seriously couldn't say no! And I love greek mythology and Oppression sounds soo good so hopefully I'll enjoy it!

Received for Review:
Covenant of the Faceless Knights - Gary F. Vanucci (Goodreads)

The author of this great looking fantasy book kindly sent this book to me so that I can read and review it. It looks amazing, I love fantasy books so I'm really looking forward to sinking my teeth into it asap. He also advised me to the read the two prequels before so that I get the picture picture so I'm going to buy them both off amazon (bargains!) and read them before I jump into this book.

Freebies:
Little Women - Louise May Alcott (Goodreads)
Cranford - Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell (Goodreads)
Amber Magic - B. V. Larson (Goodreads)
A Discovery of Witches - Deborah Harkness (Goodreads)
Bernard and the Bibble - Carl Ashmore (Goodreads)
The Book of Deacon - Joseph R. Lallo (Goodreads)
Titan Magic - Jodi Lamm (Goodreads)
The Wizard, the Farmer and the Very Petty Princess - Daniel Fox (Goodreads)
Frost Child (Rebel Angels) - Gillian Philip (Goodreads)

Another week of buying books...and free books at that. They all look interesting and I'm looking forward to reading them when time allows it. Little Women and Cranford were just little buys; I loved the tv adaptation of Cranford, it was so witty so I thought I'd give the book ago if I ever get round to it. A Discovery of Witches was recommended to me by a friend on goodreads and it looks really good so I'm going to read that as soon as I've finished some review copies. The others are just litle fantasy buys that I've found throughout the week and I think Titan Magic is the one I'm most looking forward to reading. And the cover is so pretty! And I love the cover for The Wizard, the Farmer and the Very Petty Princess is amazing! Definitely looking forward to reading it!

Netgalley:
Shadowed Ground - Vicki Keire (Goodreads)

I can get a little crazy on netgally, clicking here and there without really looking at what the book is about. But this book did look particularly interesting so now that I've been approved to read it I'll definitely check it out sometime soon :)

So what's in your mailbox this week? x
