Booking Through Thursday #3

Hello Everyone :) Sorry that my post is a little late I've been wasting time trawling some lovely sites that I've just stumbled across. I love today's question and I've found some lovely little book quote pictures from two sites in particular and it may be a coincidence or just luck but some of them are of my favourite literary quotes so I'm going to share them with you all :) So today's question from Booking Through Thursday (asked by Valentina) is:

Do you have a favourite quote from a book?
I love several quotes from a number of books mainly my favourite books of all time. Some quotes are just fun and some others are just so beautiful and touching that they just stay with me. 

My favourite book is The Lord of the Rings and I find the following quote just so meaningful and whenever I read it or hear it said in the films I just get a nice warm feeling:

"I wish it need not have happened in my time", said Frodo.
"So do I", said Gandalf, "and so do all who see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

Here's a few more quotes form The Lord of the Rings that I just love:

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, walking out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."

I have so many other quotes that I love but I really don't want to bore you all terribly. Here are some pictures that I found earlier on that just fit into this post perfectly! First here are some amazing Harry Potter quotes that I found over at The Readables tumblr blog. I also joined a facebook group Pub(lishing) Crawl and they had shared a picture of my favourite ever George R.R Martin quote (that I have quoted under my blog header!) Aren't they lovely?

    I read all of those Lord of the Rings quotes in my head in the characters voices from the films, great choices!
    I also love the Harry Potter quotes and that George R. R. Martin one, it's so true!
