Wishlist Wednesday #5

I missed last weeks Wishlist Wednesday post as I was in London so here I am after a lovely week away! Also is anyone currently suffering from Olympic fever like I am?! I'm just glued to the TV! Anyway back to business! Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Dani over @Pen to Paper. Its a great way of posting about books that we're all dying to get our hands on!

Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) - Marissa Meyer

Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. . . .

Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.

I know this book has been out for ages and I'm probably one of the only people who hasn't read it. Since enjoying reading sci-fi a little more now its piqued my interest a little and I might just end up buying it for my kindle. I love the fact that its a fairy tale retelling too. So should I buy it or not?!

  2. Awesome choice, Becca! I think you'll really like this one because it was just fabulous! No rush, I only read this in June as well, and I think it'll be nice if you read this and have the second book already released and ready to read after you finish. Then you won't be waiting painfully like the rest of us ,ahah!

P.s. I definitely have the Olympic fever - and I don't usually watch sport at all. Weird, right?!
