Q: When you step out of your USUAL genre what do you like to read? Best books in that genre?

I think this year since I started blogging I've started reading a lot of books in different genres that I maybe wouldn't have without blogging. I hadn't really read an YA books before starting my blog and I love the genre now especially dystopian YA which I can't get enough of my favourite being The Hunger Games. I'm also getting into reading vampire books which I really haven't enjoyed before but I read I Am Legend which was amazing and recently finished The Immortal Rules which I loved so will definitely read more of those type of books soon.

Also I used to think that I wouldn't enjoy sci-fi but I started playing the Mass Effect PS3 games and from then on I just couldn't get enough of sci-fi. At the moment I'm reading alot of YA sci-fi books like Cinder, Earth Girl and hopefully in the near future (because they look so good!) the Across the Universe series. I'd love some recommendations for adult sci-fi books though too :)

One other genre that I really don't read is contemporary fiction or romance. But my guilty pleasure is Nicholas Sparks. I love his books when I need to read something easy, light and fluffy.

  3. Thanks so much for stopping by, hon - delighted to return the follow. As for me, I love a good romance, provided it's part of a good story.

  4. I really like my supernatural/ speculative fiction books, so for me, reading outside my comfort zone means literary, contemporary fiction & historical romance.

  10. I love sci-fi that is easy to read and when it doesn't get too technical. I've never much cared for vampire novels, but obviously the majority of young adults disagree with me!
