Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Dani over @Pen to Paper and is a great way of showing off the books that we are dying to get our hands on :)
Sisters Red (Fairytale Retellings #1) - Jackson Pearce
Scarlett March lives to
hunt the Fenris--the werewolves that took her eye when she was defending
her sister Rosie from a brutal attack. Armed with a razor-sharp hatchet
and blood-red cloak, Scarlett is an expert at luring and slaying the
wolves. She's determined to protect other young girls from a grisly
death, and her raging heart will not rest until every single wolf is
dead.
Rosie March once felt her bond with her sister was unbreakable.
Owing Scarlett her life, Rosie hunts ferociously alongside her. But
even as more girls' bodies pile up in the city and the Fenris seem to be
gaining power, Rosie dreams of a life beyond the wolves. She finds
herself drawn to Silas, a young woodsman who is deaI ams loving him mean betraying her sister
and all that they've worked for?

I am loving fairy tale retellings right now so this book seems like the perfect book to add to my growing collection of books. This book sounds so good and such a great adaptation of the Little Red Riding Hood tale. I read the first few chapters free on my kindle and loved loved loved the first chapter. I also love the cover for this book. The black and red colours are so striking. Really looking forward to maybe getting this book soon and adding it my shelves.
This book is so good- yes you have to get this one!
ReplyDeleteGet it, get it, get it! :D

ReplyDeleteI love this one! I also am a big fan of fairy tale retellings, and this one reminded me a bit of Buffy (always a good thing!). I agree about the cover -- it's on my favorite covers board on Pinterest! :) The author's Hansel & Gretel retelling, Sweetly, is good too. Enjoy!
