Bout of Books 9.0 Challenge: Fantasy Recommendations

Hello! Well I'm not doing brilliantly right now with the Bout of Books read-a-thon. I'm still on the same book that I started with so I really need to get a move on. But I really wanted to join in with the challenge today hosted by Katie @ Doing Dewey. The challenge is to introduce others to our favourite genre and do a little recommendations/introduction post. So my choice is Fantasy. I haven't read much Epic Fantasy in a while (will change that this year though!) and I'm really enjoying YA Fantasy so I thought I'd choose a few books and series that I'd recommend to anyone who either wants to pick up some great Fantasy reads or loves the genre as much as I do!

Fantasy:

The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit
- J.R.R. Tolkien

 The Harry Potter Series

Throne of Glass & Crown of Midnight
- Sarah J Maas

A Song of Ice and Fire Series
- George R.R. Martin

The Inheritance Cycle - Christoper Paolini

Fire and Thorns Series - Rae Carson

Study Series - Maria V Snyder

Healer Series - Maria V Snyder

  1. I'm not a huge fantasy reader, but it's a genre that I want to read more of...I've read Harry Potter and The Song of Ice and Fire series, and I just recently bought Throne of Glass. And those two Maria V. Snyder series are on my TBR list!

  2. I love fantasy!! I love how you get transported into another world basically. Although I have yet to read the Song of Fire and Ice series yet, but I plan to read it this year, or at least start it.
