Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Aragorn & Arwen
I absolutely love their relationship. Arwen sacrifices her immortality for her love! Now that is what you call true love! When Aragorn dies she returns to the place where they were betrothed and dies. So tragic but so lovely also!
Ron & Hermione
Aww Ron Ron and Hermione! We all knew it was going to happen as in previous books their jealousy has been so obvious especially when Ron was constantly stuck to Lavenders face and Hermione and Krum had a little love letter/ball partner thing going on. So cute when it finally happened!
Daenerys & Khal Drogo
Alot of you are probably going WHAT?! but an arranged marriage slowly grows into a passionate and love filled one. I love the names that they call each other too - "my sun and my stars." Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for Kahl Drogo. I know alot of dodgy stuff goes on in the start of the relationship but it soon blossoms into something true and full of love.
Elizabeth & Mr Darcy
A little bit of classical love for you all. I love their relationship. I think Mr Darcy's words sums it all up: “In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be
repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love
you.” Beautiful stuff!
Celaena & Chaol
I do like Dorian and Celaena together but I am definitely on Team Chaol. He is just so quiet but protective and obviously in love with Celaena despite his previous thoughts about her. When he reaches for her (won't say much more) aww my heart melted. He is just so lovely and seems like a big softie underneath the tough guy exterior, so yes yes more Celaena and Chaol please!
Cinder & Prince Kai
Aww our Cinderella and Prince Charming. I just loved how normal Prince Kai was and how at ease he was when around Cinder. Aww they're so cute together!
Avry & Kerrick
What a pair! I just love how similar they are personality wise and how their relationship develops from a crazy one full of distrust into a passionate and loving one. I love Kerrick!
Yelaena & Valek
I loved Valek. Snyder really knows how to write some great leading men. I love how a relationship develops when you really think it just isn't going to happen. I loved how protective he was over Yelaena and so obviously cared for him.
Allie & Noah
Aww The Notebook! I have a soft spot for Nicholas Sparks' books; he sure does know how to make a girl cry! I love their relationship and how a summer romance years later turned into a tempestuous but passionate relationship. Old Allie and Noah is just so sad too :( *sob* Also I love Ryan Gosling <3
Eowyn & Faramir
Another The Lord of the Rings romance. We don't get to see much of their relationship but in the Houses of Healing they both comfort one another and eventually fall in love. Eowyn is obviously smitten with Aragorn when she meets him but his heart belongs to another so it's nice to know she ends up happy with Faramir.
I still have to read LOTR and hopefully I'll get to it soon :) Great picks :)
ReplyDeleteI'm doing a similar thing for my blog tomorrow. I already have Aragorn and Arwen (of course!) and Ron and Hermione, but I completely forgot about Khal Drogo and Daenerys! I don't think it's strange that you included them at all, I love how their love for one another slowly grows, when you don't really expect it to. I just hate the way it ended!
ReplyDeleteI also love the romance between Eowyn and Farimir, I think they both deserved to be happy :)
I completely forgot about Aragorn & Arwen and Allie and Noah. They are out of the ball park some of my favorites! Their love for one another is inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say the same thing as Lisa: I TOTALLY forgot about those two, and it makes me sad :( I love them so much! And oh, how I love Cinder and Prince Kai. Lovely list and love the way you used these pictures :)
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! I haven't read Cinder yet, but I've seen her and Kai on a few lists today, so that's good news! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteOhhh my god how did I forget Daenerys & Khal Drogo and Celaena & Chaol! Raaghh haha. Awesome choices, loving Darcy & Lizzie too.
ReplyDelete(Definitely bringing my copy of the first Blackdagger Brotherhood books to uni with me the next time I head home to force on you :P)
Celaena & Chaol, oh yeah! I'm totally team Chaol. Dorian isn't such a bad character either, but she has something with him. And I like his personality much more <3
ReplyDeleteAllie & Noah, ohhhhh, yes! Such a sad and beautiful love story.
Cinder & Kai, woehoe. I can't wait to see more of them!

ReplyDeleteAmazing list. I agree on the arranged marriages. Sometimes they don't work out, but they mostly turn into the best marriages!

My Top Ten
Ron and Hermione make such a cute couple :)
ReplyDeleteHere is my TTT
FAVE TTT I've seen! I was thinking Eowyn and Faramir. Their romance totally snuck into LotR and just made me happy :) Ron and Hermione, classic. They are hilarious. Their relationship kind of reminds me of Percy and Annabeth from Percy Jackson and the Olympians. They can't really stand each other at first, but then they grow to love each other. EEK so cute!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you on the Khal Drogo. I think it's because it's unexpected that they would fall in love :) There's a lot of books I need to add to my wishlist now too!
ReplyDeleteCdee @ Read and Review
Great list! I'm not really sure who I want Celaena with, but I'm leaning toward Chaol. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteKaris @ YA Litwit
Ooh, arranged marriages. I'll have to check that out. I love your picks! Very unique with the LOTR ones :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TTT!
I loved Eowyn and Faramir too! I need to read Throne of Glass soon...everyone seems to love it. Thanks for sharing!
