After watching countless videos regarding book jars I finally made myself one! I first ran across the idea after watching Jessica's book jar video on her youtube channel (priceiswong) and have made it my mission to make my own! You will not believe how many books that I have sitting on my shelf or on my kindle unread. It really is just crazy and something that I need to start tackling now! So I thought I'd create a book jar, document the process and reveal my finished creation. I wanted to make it a little more colourful than just a jar with white scraps of paper in so I bought some nice girly paper to go with my bedroom to jazz it up a little. It took so long to write out all of my unread books on the little scraps of paper, then fold them and put them in the jar. But I have finally finished and pleased with the result. I'm hoping this book jar will help when I just don't know what to read next, as I have a hard time choosing with all of the great books on my shelf!
And there you go. One Unread Book Jar! Let the reading commence :)
What an *awesome* idea! :) Great job on your creation.

Suuuuch a cool idea. It's tempting to join you with that one! It's beautiful :D.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I sometimes count my books and use random.org to come up with a random book to read off my shelves. This is soo much cuter!!
ReplyDeleteOOh nice! I once tried something like this to help aid in what to read next. It wasn't anything pretty and I don't think I ever got far with it. Maybe had the idea to put all the book titles in a hat and draw one for the next read!
ReplyDeleteBut yes, this is a very nice idea and very pretty!
This is such a cool idea. I don't know if I'd be able to commit but still pretty cool. Hopefully it helps you. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG this looks amazing! So pretty as well! :D
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea!
This is a great idea! I might have to make one of my own :)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool idea! I'm going to remember this, because it might be the solution for me too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fab idea! I may give it a go myself!
ReplyDeleteWow, I made the original book jar to cheer myself up after my laptop died and then suddenly loads of people were making them and oh my word, it has been AMAZING to see what everyone is doing with the idea! Have fun with your picks - I'm about to pick my fourth choice from mine and you can see how I'm doing on my blog, Alex in Leeds.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea! I have a TBR jar sitting on my shelf - I just haven't filled it with anything yet. Looks like I need to get on it :) 3600+ books on my Kindle calling my name!
