This fun little bookish A-Z survey was created by Jamie @ The Perpetual Page Turner who just wants to inject some fun back into the sometimes stressful (I can relate!) world of blogging!
Author You've Read The Most Books From:
Nicholas Sparks with 10 books according to Goodreads.
Best Sequel Ever:
If I went by this years books alone I still would have too much choice! Just to name a few (cheating I know!): Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas, The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa, Scent of Magic by Maria V Snyder and Magic Study, also by Maria V Snyder. So much love for all of these.
Currently Reading:
I'm not currently reading a book right now but tonight I plan on starting either Paper Towns by John Green or Earth Star by Janet Edwards.
Drink Of Choice Whilst Reading:
Whatever really. I drink alot of fizzy diet drinks so probably a can of Pepsi Max. Alot of the time though I'm too caught up in the story to remember to eat or drink!
E-Reader or Physical Book:
I absolutely love physical books; the way they look, feel, smell just everything. But recently I've been using my kindle more as it comes in handy with its light which is perfect when you have a boyfriend who hates the lamp being on when he's trying to sleep!
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Dated:
I have a few book crushes fair play. Chaol from Throne of Glass would be one. I also had a soft spot for bad boy Noah in Pushing the Limits. And my recent crush? He might just be a little too bad for my liking but I couldn't help secretly loving him a little; Jackson from Poison Princess by Kresley Cole.
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I really wasn't sure if I'd like this one so put it off for ages. But eventually I picked it up and I'm so glad I did. It was amazing. So touching, heart warming, heart breaking etc. I loved it.
Hidden Gem Book:
I think so far this year it has to be Angelfall by Susan Ee. I had this one sitting on my kindle for a while before I decided to read it. And OMG am I so glad that I did. It was amazing and it was so unexpectedly good that it was definitely a hidden gem book.
Important Moment In Your Reading Life:
Starting my blog. I have always loved reading but ever since starting my blog a year and a half ago my reading habits have just exploded. I have found some amazing books, new genres I love and I've had the chance to review some great books!
Just Finished:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Amazing, a 5 star book :)
Kinds Of Books You Won't Read:
Not that there is anything wrong with them but Erotica. It just doesn't float my boat at all.
Longest Book You've Read:
Probably The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, my favourite book ever with a whopping 1285 pages.
Major Book Hangover Because Of:
Angelfall by Susan Ee. It left me in a daze because of how amazing it was. Or maybe Poison Princess by Kresley Cole. It wasn't a 5 star book for me but I just couldn't get it out of my head for days afterwards.
Number Of Bookcases You Own:
Two and it is definitely not enough. I bought them Christmas time and they are just jam packed full of books. Definitely need a few more but I just don't have the room.
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
All of the Harry Potter books. Definitely read them at least four or five times. I'm due a re-read soon actually.
Preferred Place To Read:
My bed where I'm warm and snug. But the downside of being so snug and reading is that I always fall asleep halfway through a chapter! I also enjoyed reading whilst sunbathing on holiday in Greece. It was just so relaxing, the perfect place to read.
Quote That Inspired You/ Gives You All The Feels From A Book You've Read:
I think one of my favourite quotes is the George RR Martin one:
"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies...The man who never reads lives only one."
There was alot of quotes that I loved from The Perks of Being a Wallflower so I think I definitely need to go through it again highlighting all of my favourites!

Reading Regret:
I can't really think of any to be honest. There's maybe a few that I had to read for university work that I didn't enjoy but none of my own choice that I regret.
Series You Started And Need To Finish (All The Books Are Out In A Series):
Quite a few; The Caster Chronicles by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl, The Declaration Trilogy by Gemma Malley, Across the Universe trilogy by Beth Revis. That's just a few that I can think of right now.
Three Of Your All Time Favourite Books:
The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, A Game of Thrones by George RR Martin & possibly Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Throne of Glass is inching its way up though onto my favourite books list!
Unapologetic Fan Girl For:
The Lord of the Rings and A Song of Ice and Fire series. I will talk non stop about all those books to anyone who wants to listen (and doesn't!). If you haven't read either you should right now.
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
Hmm not quite sure. I'm looking forward to reading the Endless Knight by Kresley Cole, the second book in the Arcana Chronicles when it's released this autumn. Ooh and possible the sequel to Angelfall, World After which is being released in November!
Worst Bookish Habit:
Buying books? ;)
X Marks The Spot: Start At The Top Left Of Your Shelf And Pick The 27th Book:
A Million Suns by Beth Revis. I read Across the Universe and enjoyed it but it didn't wow me like I expected it too which was a shame. I'll definitely get round to reading A Million Suns though as I'd like to know what happens next.
Your Latest Book Purchase:
I've bought alot of books recently. Mainly for my kindle but a few physical ones. This morning in the post The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken and Stardust by Neil Gaiman arrived. For my kindle I bought Paper Towns by John Green and Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
ZZZ - Last Book That Kept You Up Late:
Last night I stayed up until 3am finishing The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I had to finish it. I couldn't leave it where it was not knowing how it would end.
Awesome answers! I agree with so many.
ReplyDeleteI think you have to start on Paper Towns, loved the book! It was hilarious, but also a little sad and scary.
I agree with starting the blog; after I got mine, the same happened to me.
I prefer reading on bed as well but I also get so sleepy! No matter the hour in the day, my body goes all: oh, look, a bed. Sleep time. -.- So annoying.
And I love the quote you picked! I love GRRM and ASoIaF and I really need to get on LotR as well...
A Millions Suns is great, full of awesome twists. You should give it a try. ;)
I really enjoyed The Perks of Being a Wallflower - I love those books that you can't help but stay up late with! I'm re-reading the HP books this summer - I finished Goblet of Fire a few weeks ago, but I haven't moved on to Order of the Phoenix yet. I need to do it soon!
