Showcase Sunday #57

It's Sunday and that means one thing; Showcase Sunday a fun weekly meme hosted by Vicky over @Books, Biscuits and Tea. It's a great way of showing off what we've bought, borrowed and received this week.

Wow. This is my first book haul post since Christmas. I have been a pretty good girl when it comes to book buying, fair play. I'm trying to save quite a bit of money to go traveling so sadly buying new books every week has had to stop. But I'm still treating myself now and again when there's a book that I just HAVE to buy. It does hurt when I want a million different books and just can't buy them. But it'll be worth it and plus I have so many unread books it's crazy!

This Shattered World - Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
A Darker Shade of Magic - V E Schwab

Red Queen - Victoria Aveyard

The Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss
Endless Knight - Kresley Cole
Blue Lily, Lily Blue - Maggie Stiefvater
Bridge of Snow - Marie Rutkoski
Rain - Virginia Bergin
Mitosis - Brandon Sanderson

The Sin Eater's Daughter - Melissa Salisbury
A Court of Thorns and Roses - Sarah J Maas

Big thanks to Scholastic and Bloomsbury! Read both books and loved them. Also, look at that map. Love it!

  3. I've read The Rain, I thought it was a really good idea but I didn't like the protagonist.

  4. Yay for a Court of Thorns and Roses!! I have that book pre-ordered and I can't wait for it to get in. I'm also on my library hold list for the Sin Eater's Daughter. Red Queen is also next on my shelf to read :)
It's good that you've been able to not buy so many books, it's hard but once in a while definitely worth it to get a few. Have a great week!

  5. I hope you like Red Queen more than I did - unfortunately I found it very predictable.
A Court of Thorns and Roses sounds really good but I didn't get on with the Throne of Glass books so I'm a bit wary about reading it.
    Great haul!
