Bout of Books Day 2

I didn't get round to posting an update yesterday but I'll post my updates and jot down my progress from the day before anyway. I joined in yesterday's challenge in the comment section but thought I'd do today's challenge here. I'm not feeling too good so I'm a bit behind in my reading but hopefully will read a few pages tonight. Also it was my older sister's 30th birthday today so today's been busy busy so I've had no time to sit down and pick up a book!

Here's the link to my original goal post if you want to check out my goals and books for the readathon.

Update:
14/05
Number of books read today: 1
Number of pages read today: 453
Total number of books read: 1
Total pages read: 453
Books: Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins
Books started today: None.

Today's challenge is hosted by Celine over @Nyx Book Reviews and is all about Book Confessions. There's two options so I've chosen to answer the "this or that" questions so here it goes:

Physical book or eBook? I prefer physical books as there's just something about a new book with fresh pages! But I bought a kindle a few months ago and I do find it so useful but it still feels so different so maybe it'll take me a little while longer to get used to it.
Paperback or Hardcover? Paperback all the way. I do buy hardcovers when I really want to read a book and can't possibly wait for it to come out in paperback but they're so hard to hold and read.
Reality or Make-believe? Make-believe. My favourite books are fantasy books and I love being able to escape and get completely immersed  in another new world. But I also love history and read historical fiction so I guess I enjoy a little bit of reality sometimes.
Adult or Young-Adult? Adult. Like I said previously I mostly enjoy reading fantasy and historical fiction which is mostly adult books but since blogging I've tried a few young-adult books. I find they're good for some light reading before getting stuck into a long detailed fantasy book or historical fiction. I enjoyed the Hunger Games trilogy immensely. It was such a great series (disappointed by the last book though!)

Dog ears or Bookmarks? Neither. I think I have a magical power to always know where I am in a book!

Breaking the spine or Barely open the book? Hmm now this is a toughie. I'd say probably breaking the spine but only if its a good book that I'm completely into to!

Tea or Coffee? Tea of course! With some biscuits, my favourite being shortbread. Yum!

Reading in bed or On the couch? In bed nice and snug with a comfy quilt and a few sweeties!

Series or Standalone? I personally prefer a series but read alot of standalone historical fiction novels.

Original or TV Adaptation? Originial is always better.

Defy motion sickness or Audiobooks? Motion sickness always defeats me in the end! It's hit or miss but I usually listen to music if I start to get that feeling in my belly! I've never listened to an audiobook and I'm not sure if I would.
Author crushes or Who-was-that-guy-again?  Author crushes. If I've loved an authors book I usually read more of their work.
Interview or Guest post? I've done neither on my blog but I love guest posts on other people's blogs but then again I love author interviews as you learn so much interesting stuff!

  1. Happy birthday to your sister!

I also always memorize the page I am on. I never use a bookmark and definitely don't dog ear (I couldn't bring myself to do that to my books.).
