Have you ever bought a book, started reading it and then realised you have already read it? If so, how far did you get? (Can you tell this happened to me for the first time ever this week!?!)
And–did you keep reading??
This hasn't really happened to me before but I nearly ended up buying a book from a bookstore once that I already owned and had read! It had a different cover and was in the bargain section so thought it was a really good buy and was sooo close to going up to the counter and buying it. But then something obviously clicked in my head and I realised that I had read it a year or so before and was saved from wasting money! I think I bought another book then that I luckily didn't own and hadn't read before!

Cover changes certainly can throw you off especially when you read a ton of books.
ReplyDeleteDifferent covers can be tricky! Thanks for stopping by. Happy Thursday :)
ReplyDeleteCover changes are very tricky...plus sometimes an author will bring out an old book in paperback, with a new cover, and it seems like a new book.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
Different covers can definitely make for confusion. I think so many covers look the same nowadays that it makes it hard to distinguish books, and other the same writer's books will have similiar covers. It can be hard to distinguish what you've read and what you haven't!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's happened to me, too :)

Cover changes can make you buy a book twice. I have done it. Luckily, titles don't change.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
Oh yes! I have been guilty of buying books I've already read. That was why I started a blog to keep track of what I have read.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit today.
