October Wrap Up: A Month in Books!

October wasn't a bad reading month but I wish I had done a little better. I found myself in a little bit of a reading slump in the middle of October and didn't know what to pick up off my shelf to read next. I read a total of 7 books this month with one of them being a graphic novel, The Walking Dead Volume 1. I enjoyed it and as a result I've added The Walking Dead Compenidum Volume 1 to my wishlist. The Radleys was an amusing vampire novel which I really really enjoyed. I'll definitely be picking up more of Matt Haig's books in the future! I picked up Fracture because I loved Megan Miranda's novel Hysteria (review here). Fracture wasn't as good but it was still an intriguing read. A Monster Calls was such a heart wrenching story which I truly adored. I'd recommend Myths and Legends: King Arthur to anybody interested in the myths of King Arthur as it is jam packed with all kinds of interesting information. Steelheart was sent to me for review and it was such a fun book! I really loved how the world is full of super heroes who are more villain-like and monstrous than heroic. Definitely recommend this over and over again!

My favourite book of the month is John Green's The Fault in Our Stars. What an amazing amazing story with truly amazing characters. So sad but so, so lovely. I'm so glad I finally picked this book up I just loved it!
