February Wrap Up: A Month in Books!

February was another slow reading month but I surprisingly managed to finish 6 books and 1 short story. The beginning of the month was quite slow as I battled to finish The Final Empire. I really enjoyed the book but it took me so long to finish! But I'm glad I've found another great fantasy series to devour and I've bought the second book in the series to continue with soon. I then read Gone Girl which was good; the ending let it down for me though. Still it was a great mystery novel and it really shocked me in places! Then the highlight of the month arrived in the post; Cress! Ah I loved this one so much. I think it's my favourite book in the series so far. I also read The Little Android, a short story set in the Lunar Chronicles world. It was a really cute re-telling of the Little Mermaid and I really enjoyed it and I loved the Cinder cameo! Vicious was my next read. It was so good and I loved how messed up all the characters were but I rooted for Victor right up until the end even though he was a little twisted! I picked up H G Wells' The Time Machine and The War of the Worlds. I enjoyed The Time Machine more and I loved Wells' take on the future with the evolution (or devolution) of mankind and then the end of the world. The War of the Worlds was another story. It was okay and I really liked it in parts but other parts honestly bored me which was a little disappointing.
