In My Mailbox #2

In My Mailbox is a fun weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren and is a great way of showing off your recent book buys, library loans, freebies and review books. I skipped last week as I didn't buy anything interesting by this week I've got a lovely little bundle of stuff so I have to show it all off! So here's whats in my mailbox this week:

Bought:

Hiding from the Light - Barbara Erskine (Goodreads)
The Winter Ghost - Kate Mosse (Goodreads)
The Warrior's Princess - Barbara Erskine (Goodreads)

I found these three lovely books in my local charity shop for 50p each (bargain!). I love Barbara Erskine's novels; the way she weaves together the past and the present is something I really enjoy reading about. Some of her books have had me sitting on the edge of my seat awaiting what happens next so when I finally get round to reading them (piles and piles of books!) I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Kate Mosse writes similar books and I loved her book Labyrinth. I loved the interactions of the two protagonists who shared a historic link that shaped the course of the story. They're great reads and you should check them out if you love historical fiction!

Received for review:

The Dark Lord's Handbook - Paul Dale (Goodreads)
Pool of Souls - Cheryl Landmark (Goodreads)
10 Ways to Kill a Cupid - Leigh Parker (Goodreads)
Dance of the Goblins - Jaq D. Hawkins (Goodreads)

I've had a very productive week in gathering up some books for review. I'm in for a treat with three great looking fantasy novels that all seem to have original ideas and a very funny looking book about a bitter little Cupid. I love recieving books to review and they all seem great fun so hopefully I'll get through them asap!

So there's what I bought and recieved this week. What do you think? What's in your mailbox? x
