Showcase Sunday #5

The last few weeks have been amazing with going on holiday but also it's been amazing because I've had some brilliant books from netgalley that have had me shouting Yes!Yes! when I've seen what books have been accepted! I cannot wait to read all of the new books that I've got from there that are now waiting on my kindle to be read. Showcase Sunday hosted over @Books, Biscuits and Tea is just the perfect weekly meme for me to show you all of my amazing books! Please leave comments below with links to all of your blogs because I love seeing what other people have bought, borrowed and received this week :)

Bought:
The Eye of the World (The Wheel of Time #1) - Robert Jordan (Goodreads)
The Final Empire (Mistborn Book One) - Brandon Sanderson (Goodreads)
I bought these two gems in the airport last week. I've been wanting to buy The Eye of the World since forever and I saw it there on the shelf and just couldn't resist buying it! There was a deal on so I bought The Final Empire for free or half price (cannot remember!). They're both great looking fantasy books that I just haven't got round to reading yet and I just had to buy them when I saw them there looking at me. I'm looking forward to reading them both as they've both had great reviews. The only thing I'm worried about is if I really get into Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series I'll be so out of pocket because there's like 12/13 books in the series!

Kindle Freebies:
Iona Portal - Robert David MacNeil (Goodreads)
This is just a sci-fi freebie that I snapped up on amazon. I'm really enjoying getting into the genre at the moment so I've been looking out for any kind of book that sounds great :)

Netgalley:
Seraphina - Rachel Hartman (Goodreads)
The Second Empress: A Novel of Napoleon's Court - Michelle Moran (Goodreads)
Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy #2)- Deborah Harkness (Goodreads)
Existence - David Brin (Goodreads)
The Goddess Legacy - Aimee Carter (Goodreads)
The Assassin's Curse - Cassandra Rose Clarke (Goodreads)
Prince of Ravens - Richard Baker (Goodreads)
Advent - James Treadwell (Goodreads)
Woweee! Haven't I got some amazing books from netgalley over the past few weeks. I am just too greedy when it comes to books and all of these look soooo good. I think I'm most excited for the top three books: Seraphina, The Second Empress and Shadow of Night. When I saw that Shadow of Night had been accepted I did a little bit of a victory dance! I absolutely loved A Discovery of Witches so I cannot wait to devour this second book! Seraphina I've seen mentioned by a few people and it looks great and all about dragons and I LOVE dragons so what's not to love?! I love Michelle Moran's books so when I saw the Second Empress available through netgalley I just had to click request and I crossed my fingers until I knew that I had been accepted! The rest are just a mixture of books that just looked so good that I couldn't resist getting them!

  2. I loved the Mistborn series! I really hope you enjoy The Last Empire (it is the best in the series, though not by much).

    Happy reading!
